Brad Fallon Internet Marketing

Brad Fallon is the founder of Smart Marketing, Inc., a network of wholesale and retail e-commerce businesses. Smart Marketing started with MyWeddingFavors.com in January, 2004 with Brad Fallon and his wife Jennifer Nichols. Jennifer Nichols stumbled upon a great opportunity when she was looking for place-card holders for her upcoming wedding. The demand for wedding favors was far exceeding the variety available. “There were over 150,000 people doing internet searches on the term ‘wedding favors’ every month,” says Nichols. This was when she made the decision to start an Internet business for wedding favors.

Her fiancé, Brad Fallon, helped her set up a Yahoo storefront for the business. Before the launch, Brad was a full-time search engine optimization specialist. Brad first optimized the website and made sure all of the title tags, meta descriptions and keywords were placed. He also made sure all of the links were text links and that they had the targeted keywords in them.

MyWeddingFavors.com opened with 40 products in Jennifer’s basement. To keep start-up costs low, she only stocked enough on hand to fulfill orders. By June 2004, sales hit $1,000,000 and the business was a success. It was time to expand the business; Jennifer had other ideas for wedding favors but needed someone to make them. Jennifer and Brad traveled to China and landed a deal with a company willing to create their wedding favors. Their wholesale wedding favor company, Kate Aspen, was formed. This line not only helped expand MyWeddingFavors.com, but also drop shipped favors for other websites that wanted to sell their products. Smart Marketing revenue grew to $7,800,000 in 2005 and $32,000,000 in 2006. During this time, they added CornerStorkBabyGifts.com and Baby Aspen.

Brad is the author of "Creating Customers Out of Thin Air: Secrets of Online Marketing for Offline Businesses." In October 2006, Brad co-founded StomperNet.com with Andy Jenkins, the leading subscription-based Internet marketing training program. StomperNet provides DVD courses and online training classes from expert faculty members, an online portal community, proprietary software and quarterly live conferences. StomperNet’s launch on October 3, 2006 set the first day sales record for online sales of information products.

In 2007, Smart Marketing and StomperNet launched Free IQ, the premier destination for valuable online video and other types of premium media products. Premium Media Products, LLC, a new media publishing company, is the latest venture of the Smart Marketing network. It will help authors and consultants create and market premium media products of all types, including webinars, teleseminars, subscription podcasts, e-books, DVD home study courses and live workshops recorded in its Seminar Studio.
